Elliott S. Schreffler* advises clients on insurance regulatory, insurance transactional and general corporate matters. He has experience with a broad array of subjects including producer, agent, insurer, and third-party administrator licensing, permissible compensation/fee sharing arrangements among producers, and permissible advertising and marketing of insurance products in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Elliott also assists with regulatory filings, including the drafting of Forms A, D and E and disclaimers of control, and has helped clients in connection with market conduct examinations and related issues. His practice also regularly extends to the non-admitted market, dealing with questions related to NAIC IID listing and other issues for various surplus/excess lines insurers. Elliott's wide breadth of experience has allowed him to be of valuable assistance in the InsurTech space, where he assists clients with maintaining regulatory compliance while also achieving product development and enhancement objectives.
Before joining Drinker Biddle’s Insurance Regulatory and Transactional Team, Elliott worked within the firm's Corporate and Securities Group and has experience with corporate governance issues, federal securities law research and general due diligence projects.
While in law school, Elliott won an award for excellence in legal research and writing and had an opportunity, through Rutgers Children’s Justice Clinic, to represent juvenile clients in New Jersey Superior Court.
