James F. Fitzsimmons advises private equity firms in connection with all aspects of their businesses, with specific emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and minority and majority investments. Jamie also represents mature companies and their owners in connection with acquisitions and dispositions; emerging growth and growth companies in connection with formation and private securities offerings; and ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices with their investment activities.
Jamie regularly serves in the role of outside general counsel and trusted advisor for his clients, and his experience includes complex joint venture formation and structuring and software and life sciences licensing. Jamie’s work encompasses a broad range of industries, including financial technology, financial services, consumer finance, cosmetics, health care, life sciences, media (new and traditional), technology and traditional industries.
Jamie served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard Newman, J.A.D. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division and was a pupil in the Justice William J. Brennan Jr. Inn of Court (now, the Brennan-Vanderbilt Inn of Court).
