Technology utilizing biometric information is becoming increasingly common and facing more scrutiny than ever. The first part of 2018 has seen growing concern over the use of personal information, and a tide of new legislative efforts to address some of these concerns.

In his article, Justin provides an overview of some of the latest legislation, including new state laws in California and New Hampshire; proposed legislation in Alaska, Delaware, New Jersey and New York; and potential amendments to the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act in Illinois—the first state law regulating the collection, use, and storage of biometric information.
