Los Angeles attorney Paul Gelb and Washington, D.C., attorney Katherine Armstrong co-authored “FTC-Recommended Best Practices for Cybersecurity from Inside and Outside Your Business” for the Journal of Cyber Policy. Kimberly Diamond, an adjunct professor of energy law at Fordham Law School, also contributed.

In recent years, the Federal Trade Commission has increased its focus on privacy and data security issues, and has formulated some recommended best practices for data management. In their article, Paul, Katherine and Kim outline some of the FTC’s best practices for internal and external data collection, retention and use.
