A white paper authored by Los Angeles partners Fred Reish and Bruce Ashton, and counsel Summer Conley, was featured in Advisor One, Ignites and National Underwriter Life & Health.

The paper, titled, “The Prudence Standard: Affiliated Products and Services,” was commissioned by Great-West Retirement Plan Services. It notes that fiduciaries of participant-directed plans subject to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) must act prudently when selecting and monitoring a plan‘s investment alternatives, and analyzes why offering one or more affiliated funds is not a conflict of interest or a prohibited transaction.
