On May 2, 2007, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) issued a Final Rule revising the 1990 regulations governing Tribal involvement in the Superfund program. A key objective of the new regulations, which become effective July 2, 2007, is to “reduc[e] unnecessary obstacles to Tribal Involvement” in Superfund activities.
