New Jersey associate Kaitlyn Stone was one of two recipients of the 2019 New Attorney Award for pro bono service presented by the New Jersey State Bar Association on October 24, 2019, at the association’s Annual Pro Bono Awards Reception.

“I’m thankful to the NJSBA’s Pro Bono Committee for recognizing my pro bono work and to Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) for the nomination. I am fortunate to have been able to assist the underprivileged members of our New Jersey communities − it has been equal parts exciting and humbling.”

Kaitlyn is a pro bono volunteer with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice and Legal Services of Northwest New Jersey. Since 2015, she has helped more than 80 low-income clients pursue expungement of their criminal records, helping them overcome one of the most challenging obstacles to successful community reintegration. Kaitlyn also was recognized by VLJ as “Attorney of the Month” in July 2017.
