Partners Jesse Ruiz and Alan King have been named to the “Chicago’s Notable Minority Lawyers” list by Crain’s Chicago Business. The list profiles Chicago’s most influential minority lawyers who have made a significant impact within the legal and business communities.

Jesse has been with the firm for more than 20 years and counsels clients on business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments. He serves as the firm's relationship partner for several major clients, managing and supervising all aspects of the firm's legal services for them, including corporate, intellectual property, employment and litigation matters. Jesse also counsels public and privately-held companies and entrepreneurs on strategic initiatives and transactions.

With 30 years of experience, Alan represents clients in the area of employment litigation and counseling. He has successfully litigated cases and advised clients on a broad range of employment matters, including employment discrimination and workplace harassment issues, restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements, wage and hour, wrongful discharge, defamation and other state and federal statutory and common law employment law issues. Alan is vice chair of the firm's Labor and Employment Group.
