Washington, D.C., of counsel Jason R. Baron was featured in the inaugural issue of Information Governance World in an article titled “An Interview with Jason R. Baron.”

Jason discussed his career in e-discovery, including his work at Drinker Biddle, and his 33 years in the federal government, where he pioneered early e-discovery efforts in bringing together leading computer science experts to help lawyers leverage artificial intelligence to augment their digital search techniques.

Jason noted some of the major changes in e-discovery in recent years, including the use of technology-assisted review, and discussed the state of information governance in light of the enactment of the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as the need for companies to govern their information in compliance with privacy laws as they manage their data.

The article also highlights Jason’s work in Cambodia with The Chelly Foundation, a nonprofit that he founded to improve the health and education of children in one remote province in Cambodia.
