Mary Hansen and Bob Juelke have been recognized as “Best of the Bar” honorees in the White Collar and Corporate categories, respectively, by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The 40 honorees were chosen based on the quality of their achievements in the past 18 months, including the legal significance and the business impact of their work, as well as the results achieved. Both attorneys are part of Drinker Biddle’s Financial Services Industry Group.
A partner and co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense practice, Mary has 20 years of legal experience. She represents clients in connection with investigations and litigation involving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the National Futures Association, and the Department of Justice.
Prior to joining the firm, Mary spent eight years in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement. As an Assistant Director in the Division, Mary was responsible for supervising investigations and litigations conducted by attorneys and accountants in the Division’s Market Abuse and Municipal Securities and Public Pensions Units.
Bob is a partner and former chair of the firm’s Corporate and Securities Group. He represents companies in the financial services industry and has completed numerous transactions in the insurance, investment management, and banking industries. Bob advises public companies and private growth companies on their acquisitions and divestitures, securities offerings and general transactional matters. His mergers and acquisitions practice involves representing both buyers and sellers in a broad range of complex transactions.
Bob was formerly the firm’s Executive Partner responsible for managing more than 300 lawyers in the firm’s business and transactional practices.
