Washington, D.C., partner Nate Bolin was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article titled “Congress Seen Adding Clarity to Tricky Path for Foreign Deals.” The article covers the legislation that Congress is close to passing to update the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS), which reviews foreign acquisitions of U.S. companies for national security risks. Nate said that the legislation would spell out new requirements and codify existing CFIUS practices, which would help to increase the predictability and reduce the costs involved in clearing CFIUS reviews.
