Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP continues to grow its Corporate and Securities Group in California with the addition of William D’Angelo III, who joins as a partner in Los Angeles.
Mr. D’Angelo has a broad practice which includes corporate finance, corporate governance and entertainment media matters, with an emphasis on technology, digital media, hospitality and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He has significant experience with restructurings, joint ventures, recapitalizations, financings, fund formation, the creation of specialized limited liability companies, and private equity transactions.

Mr. D’Angelo has particular experience representing companies, angel investors and venture capital companies in the emerging growth ecosystem. He counsels startup companies from the beginning of their formation; through the processes of financing, protecting intellectual property, developing intellectual property portfolios, and articulating and executing business strategies; and finally to their successful exit by acquisition, public offering, or even organic growth into a buy-side purchaser of other competitors.

Prior to joining Drinker Biddle, Mr. D’Angelo was a partner at One LLP and chair of the Corporate and Emerging Company Practice Groups. Over the course of his career, he has worked for a series of investment companies, including serving as vice president of investment firm Innovate Partners, and in private practice with Latham & Watkins and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Mr. D’Angelo earned his juris doctor from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
