Each year the Chicago Anti-Defamation League (ADL) hosts an annual dinner to honor women who are outstanding in their field of specialty. These women embody the spirit and philosophy of ADL through their efforts to improve communication and understanding among the diverse racial, religious and ethnic communities of Chicago. The ADL is dedicated to defending democratic ideals, safeguarding civil rights, and combating anti-Semitism, prejudice, discrimination and bigotry of all kinds. This year’s honorees include alumna Nancy Laethem Stern, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Allston Holdings LLC. The dinner will take place on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
Nancy joined Allston Holdings LLC, a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Chicago, in 2013. Since 2015, she has also served on the Board of Directors of exp Global Inc., a leading engineering and consulting firm with approximately 3,000 employees in 88 offices in the United States, Canada, Algeria and Vietnam. Prior to joining Allston, Nancy was a Partner with Katten Muchin Rosenman for seven years. Nancy was with Gardner, Carton and Douglas LLP in Chicago for 10 years and served as a Partner and Vice-Chair of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. She was a law clerk to the Honorable Robert H. Cleland, United States District Judge, from 1994 to 1996.
Nancy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, with distinction, and a Juris Doctor degree, both from the University of Michigan.
