Washington, D.C., partner Laura Phillips was quoted in a recent Ecommerce Times article. In the article, titled, “FCC OKs Controversial Net Rules, Screaming Period Begins,” Laura commented on the FCC’s preliminary approval of a controversial new approach to Net neutrality and following comment period, which will allow everyone with a stake in the decision to make their voice heard.
“The FCC isn't authorizing paid prioritization today. They're asking the question if under some limited circumstances could it be justified?" Laura noted.
She continued, "There's a huge amount of hysteria about fast lanes. There's a lot of grim, very surface discussion about this issue that doesn't serve anybody very well."
