Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP announced today that Frank DiGiovanni, Jeff Eichen, Zhun Lu and Keith Walter have joined the firm as partners in the Intellectual Property Group. This is the second group to join the firm from Novak Druce Connolly Bove & Quigg LLP. The team joins partner Ashley Pezzner, who brought a team of six additional intellectual property lawyers to Drinker Biddle’s Wilmington office in April.
“We are delighted to bring this talented group of Intellectual Property lawyers to the firm,” said Alfred W. Putnam Jr., Chairman of Drinker Biddle & Reath. “Frank, Jeff, Zhun and Keith add strength and depth to the group in Wilmington, where having a solid intellectual property practice is so important. With them on board, I think our team is one of the strongest intellectual property litigation groups in the country.”
DiGiovanni, Eichen and Walter focus their practices on intellectual property litigation and other contentious matters, including reexaminations, the newly enacted post grant procedures and International Trade Commission (ITC) proceedings. Lu represents clients in litigation, patent counseling and prosecution, specifically Chinese and Taiwanese companies with business in the United States.
The team will be joined at Drinker by an additional experienced intellectual property lawyer, Counsel M. Curt Lambert.
“I’m excited to work again with Frank, Jeff, Zhun, Keith and Curt,” added Pezzner. “They’re a great group of lawyers and will be a valuable asset to Drinker Biddle. Since I arrived at the firm, I’ve found the lawyers here to be top-notch and the culture to be one that welcomes additions with open arms.”
In addition to providing additional depth in Delaware, this team further expands the firm’s intellectual property practice, which has also added partner Gregory Stanton in Chicago in April of this year.
“The addition of these terrific lawyers adds strength to our group in a number of areas,” said Robert Stoll, co-chair of Drinker Biddle’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. “It has been a goal of the firm to add strength to our already nationally recognized team. As we continue to grow, we are able to provide deeper service to our clients in patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret litigation.”
