Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP partner David A. Ebby was recently elected as a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the premier legal association in the country for real estate lawyers.
Ebby, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, focuses his national practice on commercial real estate, representing developers and lenders in the areas of acquisition, development, construction and financing on projects such as retail shopping centers, office towers, hotels, apartment buildings and residential subdivisions. He also assists insurance companies in permanent financing, as well as national and regional developers in the leasing, management and operation of high-rise office towers and retail shopping centers. Ebby has also represented clients in real estate litigation, including workouts, foreclosures, landlord/tenant matters and disputes involving brokerage commissions, partnerships and agreements of sale.
“This is a truly great honor for David and our firm,” said Alfred W. Putnam, Jr., Drinker Biddle’s chairman. “To have someone of David’s caliber is not only an asset to our clients, but provides a fantastic example for our younger associates.”
Admission to ACREL is by invitation only after a rigorous screening process. Lawyers are elected to fellowship not only for their outstanding legal ability, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law, but also for their contributions to the real estate and legal professions through their practices, their legal writings and their public speaking.
