Bob Stoll Takes Center Stage Among Global IP Professionals at World IP Forum 2019
Overview
On November 6-8 2019, DC Partner and co-chair of the IP group, Bob Stoll, participated in the World IP Forum 2019 in Taipei, Taiwan.
Over 700 registrants from 56 countries participated in this three-day conference on recent developments in Intellectual Property and its syncing with business objectives. On November 6th, Bob spoke at a plenary session moderated by Prof. Wen-Chang Feng (Taipei University) entitled, “Recent Developments in Patent Law 2019”. The other panelists were Patrick Coyne (Finnegan) and Sherry Knowles (Knowles IP). The panel discussed topics including: emerging technologies, FRAND/SEP, PTAB developments and patent subject matter eligibility. On November 7th, Bob participated in another panel at a breakout session moderated by David Wright (Maschoff) entitled, “US Practice-IPR and Litigation Update and Strategies”. The other panelists included: Mark Peroff (Peroff), Jose Patino (Eversheds), Sandra Frantzen (McAndrews) and Andrew Schwaab (Greenberg). The panel discussed several recent court and PTAB cases.
