That Inhaler Can Tweet! Privacy and Cybersecurity for Connected Inhalers

Washington, D.C., partner Mary Devlin Capizzi presented as part of a panel session at RDD Asia 2018 on November 15. The session, titled “Advancing Regulatory Science of Inhaled and Nasal Products,” featured presentations by speakers from medical, pharma and legal backgrounds. Mary’s portion, titled “That Inhaler Can Tweet! Privacy and Cybersecurity for Connected Inhalers,” addressed the proliferation of digital tools that have been developed for patients and the relevant regulatory landscape in major global markets. Mary highlighted the traditional agencies that oversee marketing applications, as well as other governing bodies that are responsible for regulating proper use of these digital technologies.

The event took place at the Grand Hyatt Kochi in Kerala, India, and featured a two-day scientific program, interactive workshops, and a technology exhibition.
