Chicago partner David Higer spoke at the 2018 Intellectual Property Owners Association’s Annual Meeting on September 24. David was the moderator for a panel discussion titled “The Supreme AIA Update: A Triple-Header,” which explored recent U.S. Supreme Court and Federal Circuit decisions that demonstrate the evolution of key issues arising from the America Invents Act and its post-grant review procedures. The panel also included Acting Chief Judge Scott Boalick from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; Robert Armitage, an IP strategy and policy consultant; Russell Slifer from Schwegman, Lundberg & Woessner, and Bruce Stoner from Greenblum & Bernstein.
