Washington, D.C., partner Bolin participated in a panel discussion at the American Conference Institute’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR) Boot Camp on June 5. The panel, “Inside the License Application Process in Real Life – and Special Considerations for the 600 Series, License Amendments, and Re-Export Licenses,” covered how to draft effective applications for EAR and 600 Series licensing including BIS requirements and expectations, required supplemental information and developing data sheets, end-user statements and cover letters. Co-panelists included the Senior Licensing Officer at the Bureau of Industry and Security, U.S. Department of Commerce, and Joseph Murray, Director of Global Compliance and Corporate Compliance at Spirit AeroSystems.
The EAR Boot Camp provided attendees with in-depth training on how to put export controls into practice.
