Legal Hot Topics in Equity Compensation for 2017

Philadelphia associate Rob Jensen and Chicago associate Erik Vogt spoke at the NASPP Philadelphia Chapter Meeting on December 7. The title of their presentation was “Legal Hot Topics in Equity Compensation for 2017.”

Rob and Erik discussed avoiding common issues under IRC Section 409A when granting and changing equity awards. They also provided an introduction to employee stock purchase plans (ESPP) and conditions for a qualified ESPP. Their presentation also covered IRC Section 162(m) shareholder approval requirements and what to look out for in 2017.
