Common 401(k) Plan Errors

Los Angeles partner Summer Conley and associate Ryan Tzeng spoke at the Los Angeles Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council (WP&BC) seminar on December 6. Their half-day seminar was titled, “Common 401(k) Plan Errors,” and discussed common 401(k) plan issues and how employers should address them.

Specific topics included loans and hardship withdrawals, safe harbor restrictions, employee classifications and transfers, matching contributions, and compensation and forfeitures. WP&BC provides education, information and prudent principles of benefit plan governance within the industry.
