Florham Park partner Lynne Anderson moderated the opening panel at BioNJ’s Inspiring Women in STEM Conference at Sanofi on December 2. The title of Lynne’s presentation was “Building a Culture of Empowerment in a Multigenerational Workplace.”
Lynne was joined by Saakshi Arora of Insmed Inc.; Jennifer Asay of Sanofi U.S.; Kamala Maddali of Cancer Genetics, Inc.; Maria Qadri, of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and Nicole Schaeffer of Ismed Inc. as co-moderator. Panel members also provided thoughts on how to build a common ground for motivating and engaging multi-generational employees in a collaborative environment. Topics included strategies to develop a culture of empowerment, including effective communication of goals and expectations and insight on moving beyond the stereotypes.
The conference brought professionals for a day of sessions and networking designed to encourage and support women in STEM, including biotech, pharmaceutical, chemistry, medical device and technology companies, as well and academic and research institutions. Lynne is also on the BioNJ Women of STEM Planning Committee.
