Washington, D.C. partner Laura Phillips moderated a panel discussion at the 34th Annual Institute on Telecommunications Policy & Regulation on December 1. The panel discussion was titled “Hot Topics in Broadband Policy” and addressed a range of evolving regulatory issues arising from the FCC’s Open Internet classification and what may happen in the new Administration to change course.

Laura also led the discussion between top industry participants about potential acceleration of reforms to Universal Service Funds, the effect of competition on regulation in the broadband space, the state of transition to all-IP networks and a variety of privacy and other issues that arise for broadband providers, both satellite and wireline.
