Ransomware Litigation: Facts and Considerations

Chicago partner Ken Dort gave a presentation titled, “Ransomware Litigation: Facts and Considerations” at the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Conference in Atlanta on October 25. In a presentation given to General Counsel of major retailers covering every type of business in the United States, Ken assessed the growing trends of ransomware and the technical issues underlying these attacks, and gave practice tips on responding to these attacks under applicable state and federal laws.

Present in the audience were General Counsel and other representatives from high-profile retail companies, including AutoZone, Best Buy, CarMax, Home Depot, Jo-Ann Fabrics, PetSmart, Target, Wal-Mart and Whole Foods.
