On June 27-29, 2013, Government Relations Director Jim Twaddell traveled to Las Vegas, NV, to present to the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Board of Directors.

Jim’s presentation discussed NATA’s current legislative priorities; the big picture in Washington, DC; and the organization’s legislative accomplishments over the past year, including the introduction of H. Res. 72, the Secondary School Student Athletes' Bill of Rights.

NATA, a client of the Lobbying and Advocacy Team, is the professional membership association for certified athletic trainers and others who support the athletic training profession. Founded in 1950, the NATA has grown to more than 35,000 members worldwide today. The majority of certified athletic trainers choose to be members of the NATA – to support their profession, and to receive a broad array of membership benefits.
