On Thursday, May 31, Cheryl Orr moderated the first panel of the day at the 15th Annual American Conference Institute Wage & Hour Claims and Class Actions Conference in New York City.

Cheryl's panel was made up of in-house counsel from several blue chip companies including IBM, Gannett Co., Inc., Darden Restaurants and Microsoft.  Also serving on the panel was Ellen Malasky, Senior Counsel for firm client Florida Power & Light, also known to most of the the country as NextEra Energy.  

The panel discussed methods they are using to prevent and manage wage and hour claims/class actions, as well as what they expect from their outside counsel when both trying to prevent these types of claims and defending against them.  

The session was attended by over 75 conference registrants, including Drinker lawyers Lynne Anderson, Fey Epling and Larry Del Rossi.
