Jodie Curtis, government relations director in the Washington, D.C., office, along with two of our clients, the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and PATH, organized a briefing on Capitol Hill for members of Congress and their staffs about the importance of malaria research and development, and ensuring that the world has the next generation of tools needed to fight malaria. Some of the foremost experts on drug development, drug resistance and vaccines, as well as two researchers from Africa, were part of the distinguished panel. More than 100 people attended the briefing held on November 18, 2009.
