Gardner Carton & Douglas will host the MIT Enterprise Forum of Chicago’s 2005-2006 season premier event. This forum, named Strategic Innovation: How Cutting-Edge Design & Technology Created an Iconic Market Leader, brings guest speaker Jim Wicks, Motorola’s Chief Designer, to speak about his experience as Vice President and Director of MOTO’s Consumer Experience Design organization, which drove the development of the iconic RAZR cell phone and other products (soon to be introduced) that build on the RAZR’s success.

Mr. Wicks’ presentation will focus on how cutting-edge design was used to drive technology and engineering innovation; how the introduction of the RAZR has helped Motorola sharpen its corporate brand recognition; how creative thinking was harnessed to create an iconic, market-leading product; and how an engineering dominated corporation was taught to embrace a radical new approach to development, branding and marketing.
