One Year In, the Regulatory Consequences of the Trump Agenda

Overview

Drinker Biddle's Government and Regulatory Affairs Group and regulatory specialists across the firm held a high-level discussion and overview of a number of significant changes that the Trump administration has effected across the federal regulatory landscape during its first year.

In this two-hour session, members of our Government and Regulatory Affairs Group and other regulatory professionals across the firm guided attendees through the first year of the Trump administration and its effects on health care, policy, customs and trade, energy and environment, education, data privacy, and telecommunications. The speakers highlighted the impact of President Trump’s administration with a Republican majority in Congress and what it means for federal policy, executive branch actions, independent regulatory agencies and cabinet appointees.

Our presenters included:

  • Introduction (Mary Capizzi)
  • Health Care Recap (Jodie Curtis and Jeremy Scott, District Policy Group)
  • Customs and International Trade (Nate Bolin and Nick Guzman)
  • Environment and Energy (Bonnie Barnett)
  • Education (Jonathan Tarnow)
  • Intellectual Property (Bob Stoll)
  • Data Privacy (Katherine Armstrong)
