Carl Pebworth and Julian Harrell Recognized by Indiana Lawyer as Leaders in Law

Indiana Lawyer selected Indianapolis partner Carl Pebworth and associate Julian Harrell as honorees for the publication’s 2021 Leadership in Law awards. The recognitions honor members of the legal community who have shown a commitment to their profession, the clients they serve and to the community. Each year, the publication selects 15 “Distinguished Barrister” and 15 “Up and Coming Lawyer” honorees.

Pebworth was selected as a “Distinguished Barrister” honoree, an award that recognizes Indiana attorneys who have been practicing for at least 20 years and have shown a commitment to their profession and the clients and communities they serve. A skilled litigator, Pebworth represents clients in disputes and risk management involving real property and construction. He is adept at proactive risk management, negotiating settlements and successfully winning trials and appeals on behalf of clients. His goal is to identify and to achieve the best strategic outcome for clients in a collaborative, results-oriented manner.

Harrell was selected as an “Up and Coming Lawyer” honoree, an award that honors members of the legal community who have shown a commitment to their profession and the clients and communities they serve and have been practicing 10 years or less. His practice balances traditional environmental work, such as advising clients on navigating federal and state environmental regulations, with innovative environmental and sustainability work, such as drafting electronic vehicle agreements to transition to less-carbon-intensive fleets. Julian also focuses on environmental justice and dedicates time to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and to the Indiana community.

Pebworth and Harrell will be recognized at an awards ceremony on November 9 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis.
