Viktoriya Torchinsky-Field is a senior associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group where she focuses her practice on defending clients against class action allegations, handling a variety of product liability, business and employment litigation, and providing advice regarding health care fraud and regulatory compliance. Viktoriya is a member of the Bars of Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
Viktoriya is a frequent contributor to and an editor of the firm newsletters dealing with workplace-related issues and product liability law. Prior to joining the firm, Viktoriya practiced law in the Chicago office of Sidley & Austin and completed a fellowship at the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
In General. Viktoriya earned her first college degree, in education, from Kiev State University, Teachers College, summa cum laude, in 1989, and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, economics and applied art, in 1994. Viktoriya is a cum laude graduate of The John Marshall Law School, J.D. in 1998, where she was a published member and the managing editor of The John Marshall Law Review. While in law school, Viktoriya was a finalist in the International Space Law Moot Court Competition (Georgetown University Law Center, 1997), and an assistant to Professors Smith and Ruebner. Viktoriya is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
