Timothy R. Casey is a partner in the Corporate Restructuring Practice Group. Tim's practice includes the representation of debtors, creditors’ committees, receivers, assignees for the benefit of creditors, individual secured and unsecured creditors and bankruptcy trustees in all phases of out-of-court workouts, receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors, Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations. Tim has extensive experience in negotiating and drafting plans of reorganization, disclosure statements, workout agreements and commercial transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, and opinion letters in securitized financings. His practice also includes litigation in bankruptcy and other courts. Tim has spoken on restructuring and bankruptcy issues, including health care insolvencies, successor liability, zone of insolvency and distressed asset sales at both national and local conferences. Most recently, he co-authored the article "The Intricate Role of Securitization Trustees," which appeared in the American Bankers Association's Trust & Investments magazine.

Tim is a recipient of the Hon. John Powers Crowley Award in recognition of the pro bono legal services he has rendered to residents of the Chicagoland area.
