Steven Selna is a Managing Partner of the firm, Regional Partner in Charge of the San Francisco office and vice-chair of the firm's Diversity Committee. His practice is focused on the national coordination and trial of complex class action and state False Claims Act litigation, intellectual property and employment litigation matters, and general business litigation.
Complex Litigation/Class Actions. Steven has represented pharmaceutical and consumer product manufacturers in complex mass tort litigation, including national and state class actions and False Claims Act litigation. He has served as a National Coordinating Counsel on a number of these engagements.
Intellectual Property. Steven has represented emerging technology and institutional clients in trade secrets, trademark, patent, and unfair competition litigation in cases before state and federal courts in California.
Employment Litigation. Steven has also handled multiple employment litigation matters for some of these same clients, defending wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, FMLA and related claims.
In General. Steven received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Before pursuing a law degree, he served as a legislative aide in the U.S. Congress. He received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He is an active member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association, the California State Bar, the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Defense Research Institute.
