Rush is a partner in the firm and is a member of the firm's Corporate & Securities and Real Estate Practice Groups.  From the time of his involvement as a young lawyer in both the Penn Central and Martin Decker bankruptcies, Rush's practice has bridged the firm's real estate and banking/bankruptcy practices involving significant representation of banks and other financial institutions as well as real estate developers and investors.

Rush has a broad base of experience in representing lenders in loan originations, including construction and permanent loans, letter of credit enhanced financing, industrial revenue bond financing, leveraged buy-out financing and vessel fleet financing.  In addition, Rush has had significant experience in loan restructuring workout and foreclosure.

Rush regularly lectures for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Pennsylvania Land Title Association and other continuing legal education organizations on real estate finance, ethics, restructurings, workouts and foreclosures.  He is a contributing author to a number of Pennsylvania Bar Institute publications, including Negotiating and Drafting Commercial Real Estate Finance Documents, Mortgage Foreclosures, Issues in Commercial Mortgage Foreclosures, and Ethical Issues for Real Estate and Business Lawyers.  In addition, Rush is an emeritus trustee and former chairman of the board of The Episcopal Academy, from which he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2005 for his leadership in the acquisition, planning, financing, and construction of Episcopal’s new $200 million campus in Newtown Square, PA, and the sale of its former campus to St. Joseph’s University.  Rush has also served on a number of other civic and charitable boards including Keystone Weekend, Inc., The Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health, and the Princeton Club of Philadelphia of which he is a past president.
