Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia

Philadelphia associate Markita Morris-Louis spoke at a Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia community development event titled, “No Place Like Home: Philadelphia’s Approach to Foreclosure Preventions” on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Markita, president of the Philadelphia Fed’s Board of Regional Housing Legal Services, spoke on the prevention of residential foreclosures.

The forum was designed for practitioners and policymakers involved in foreclosure prevention, including executives and staff at housing counseling and housing finance agencies, residential mortgage lenders and servicers, attorneys, and representatives from cities, states and counties that have diversion programs.

It was the first in a series of events on how to strengthen the foreclosure prevention system in Philadelphia and to improve similar systems in cities throughout the United States.
