ExecSense

George A. Frank, of counsel in the Philadelphia office, will present an ExecSense Webinar on “The Best e-Discovery Tips, Tricks, & Strategies for IP Lawyers.” George, chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group’s Licensing and Technology Transfer Team, will cover strategies and best practices for conducting electronic discovery in IP litigation, and how other leading IP lawyers are using electronically stored information (ESI) to help their clients win IP disputes. The webinar will explore the scope of the litigation hold to be issued to a client involved in litigation needed to prevent spoliation of relevant electronically stored information (ESI); the varying standards for determining the extent of sanctions courts might impose for discovery violations; and the effect of the amended Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (2006) on the discovery process for ESI. George will provide easy-to-implement techniques and strategies that will immediately help IP lawyers capitalize on e-discovery/ESI in IP disputes, as well as practical advice on how to avoid e-discovery pitfalls and ensure a client is meeting its own obligations for the retention and production of relevant ESI.
