Key Contract Definitions and The Impact of Health Reform on Payor-Provider Relationships

AHLA's Health Plans Contracting Handbook

Albany partner Matt Amodeo has authored two chapters for the American Health Lawyers Association’s new publication, “New Health Plans Contracting Handbook.”

This sixth edition of the handbook traces the managed care contracting process from preparing to negotiate the contract, to formation and implementation, to termination issues. It identifies key questions typically encountered in preparing such agreements with a perspective that incorporates the current environmental challenges confronting managed care organizations.

Matt, a member of the Health Law Practice Group, wrote a chapter on the importance of key contract definitions. His second chapter is new for the sixth edition and addresses the impact of healthcare reform on managed care contracting.
