IRS 2006 Implementing Guidelines -- Hospitals Remain on the Hot Seat

The IRS Tax-Exempt and Government Entities Division has announced its enforcement and guidance plan for FY 2006. In a document dated October 25th, the Director of the IRS Exempt Organizations Division confirms that, as expected, hospitals and health care systems will experience substantial IRS scrutiny in the coming year.
