Bryan R. Tackett is a government relations director with the firm’s Lobbying & Advocacy team and senior vice president with the District Policy Group. He has significant experience in the financial services industry and other policy areas such as health care, energy, and technology.
Bryan most recently served as president of Wexford Strategic Advisors, where he advised clients of PD Frazer Associates, a small advisory and government affairs consulting firm. In this role, he led client engagement and lobbying efforts for domestic and international clients in the financial services, energy, natural resources, technology, telecommunications and health care sectors.
Prior to Wexford, Bryan was with Venn Strategies, LLC, where he oversaw government relations advisory services for a large association of small businesses. He provided counsel and insight on legislative and regulatory issues, specifically in the context of tax reform, and advised on PAC budget and spending priorities.
Bryan’s Capitol Hill experience includes serving as an intern in the office of U.S. Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO). He also spent six years working on Wall Street, advising financial services firms and Fortune 500 companies on strategic, cost-effective restructuring transactions in the areas of corporate finance, including capital markets and private equity, as part of insurance and risk management due diligence reviews.
Bryan has played a role in efforts to avoid intrusive regulatory actions by a number of federal agencies, resulting in the avoidance of millions of dollars in possible compliance costs from agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Environmental Protection Agency. He also has worked in communications and public outreach for associations and clients, including social media and traditional media.
