George C. McKann counsels corporations, directors and special committees in corporate governance matters and general disclosure obligations. George is a past chair of the firm’s corporate and international practices.
George has represented a diverse number of public and private corporations in manufacturing, software, health care and consumer products, telecommunications and retail industries. He also acts as counsel to underwriters in the public offering of securities. He is a member of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee of the American Bar Association. He is the author of various articles on corporate compliance matters and has spoken before professional groups, including the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Northwestern University’s Ray Garrett, Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute, the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, the Practicing Law Institute, and numerous trade associations and industry groups.
