Robert K. Malone focuses on all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency law, especially sophisticated corporate reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings and bankruptcy-related litigation. A former vice-chair of the Corporate Restructuring Group with over 30 years of experience, Bob has headed the firm’s engagements in numerous significant bankruptcy cases.
Over the years, Bob has served as a lecture panelist on bankruptcy-related issues for various groups including the American Bankruptcy Institute, the New Jersey Bar Association Bench/Bar Conference, the Essex County Bar Association Bankruptcy Practice Symposium and the New Jersey Society of CPAs.
Bob served as a law clerk to the Hon. William H. Gindin, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of New Jersey, from January 1985 to September 1986.
Bob has extensive experience in the area of corporate reorganizations where he primarily represents official committees of unsecured creditors and bondholders, debtors-in-possession, chapter 11 and 7 trustees, secured creditors and lenders, indenture trustees, asset purchasers, lessors and significant creditor representations.
