Vanessa J. Dube* litigates complex commercial disputes on behalf of clients in a wide range of industries. She has considerable research and writing experience, having conducted research on a variety of Fourth Amendment and national security law issues.
Before joining Drinker, Vanessa was an Honors Attorney at the National Security Agency’s Office of General Counsel. At the NSA, Vanessa worked in the Intelligence Law Practice Group, where she worked on a team to advise the Agency on its implementation of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). As part of the legal team working on FISA Section 702, Vanessa drafted and coordinated compliance notices with the Department of Justice for filing at the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and provided ongoing legal guidance for analysts and senior-level Agency officials.
While in law school, Vanessa participated in the GW Law Family Justice Litigation clinic, which provides legal services to needy clients in domestic violence and domestic relations matters. Vanessa and her clinic partner researched, drafted, and argued motions in D.C. Superior Court, including a successful motion for a Temporary Protection Order in a domestic violence matter.
