James A. Dougherty has served as the firm’s Managing Director of Real Estate and Facilities Planning since 2014. In this position, Jim oversees the firm's leases, construction management projects and facilities in all 11 of its offices nationwide. Prior to serving in this role, Jim was the Director of Office Planning and Services from 2003-2014, and prior to that he served as the Manager of Office Services from 1996-2003. His career at the firm has spanned nearly 40 years, where he initially started as the Facilities Manager and Purchasing Agent; his knowledge of the firm continues to grow and evolve in each new role he tackles.
Jim has served as the owner’s representative on all major renovation projects across the firm for the last 18 years. In this time span he has overseen $131 million in firm tenant improvements, managed eight firm office relocations and managed five office renovations in place.
Responsibilities include office site selections, team selections including; architects, engineers, contractors, construction project management, capital procurement/FF&E and move management services.
