He has assisted clients with the launches of open-end and closed-end funds, ETFs and hedge funds; drafted exemptive applications; participated in reorganizations; prepared registration statements and proxy statements and handled various other securities filings. Carey has worked with a variety of fund types and structures, including single and multiple series funds, single and multiple class funds, registered alternative funds, master-feeder funds and hedge funds, and has advised boards of directors with regards to fund governance, fiduciary duties, best practices and various compliance matters.
