Melissa R. Junge is an associate in the firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice Group. Melissa assists clients regarding a variety of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefits, and non-qualified plans. She routinely counsels clients regarding the design, implementation and administration of benefit plans to ensure consistency with plan terms and compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA requirements as well as the requirements under Health Care Reform. Melissa also counsels clients on benefits matters in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
In General. Melissa received her law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2006, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law, a legal writing teaching assistant and a Health Law and Medical Scholar. During law school, Melissa was a judicial extern for the Honorable William J. Bauer of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Melissa earned her B.S. from Iowa State University in 1998 and M.B.A. from Drake University in 2001.
