Nick Colic is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group on the Patents Team.
He joined the firm from Foley & Lardner LLP in Chicago, Illinois, where he focused on patent prosecution matters in the area of mechanical engineering. Prior to his law career, he worked for three years as a mechanical engineer in the automotive group of Motorola Inc.
Nick earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law in 2008, where he was a member of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering, with honors, in 2002 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
