Brittany E. Allison assists health care clients with regulatory and transactional matters.
Brittany drafts health system, hospital, and physician group agreements and policies and advises clients on federal and state laws and regulations and the impact of government programs. Brittany’s knowledge of the health care industry, reputation for confronting complex challenges, and passion for health care contribute a unique perspective and enthusiasm to her projects.
Prior to joining Drinker Biddle, Brittany served as Assistant General Counsel for the Greater New York Hospital Association, where she worked on a wide range of legal, regulatory, operational, and policy issues affecting academic medical centers, health systems, hospitals, ambulatory care providers, clinical laboratories, and continuing care facilities in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
Brittany was also a Registered Lobbyist in New York, where she collaborated with the New York State Department of Health and the New York State Education Department on behalf of New York hospitals.
Brittany’s areas of experience include health care transactions, state and federal health care policy, health information exchange, the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Affordable Care Act (ACA) regulations, Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse, scope of practice and practitioner licensure, and certificate of need. She is also particularly knowledgeable about health care laws and regulations in New York.
