Philip J. Cardinale is an associate in Drinker Biddle’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in Washington, D.C. His practice focuses on copyright law.

Phil received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School and a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Oxford (England) at the college of St Edmund Hall. He received his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University in English and Classical Languages and has published articles in those fields as well as in intellectual property law. He also formerly worked as a newspaper reporter on eastern Long Island, New York.

Phil is currently vice-chair of the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Section’s Special Committee on Copyright & New Technologies and a member of the Steering Committee of the Arts, Entertainment, Media, and Sports Section of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
