Doug Swill Interviewed by Law360

Chicago partner Doug Swill was interviewed by Law360 on his career as a health care law practitioner.

Doug, chair of the Health Law Practice Group, discussed aspects of health care in need of reform and the U.S. Supreme Court’s pending decision addressing the constitutionality of certain parts of the federal health reform law.

He described a particularly challenging development in the closing of a hospital-to-hospital merger that required him to return from vacation to resolve.

Doug also discussed lessons learned from a mistake made early in his career and named Matthew Toddy, general counsel at Bon Secours Health System, as a lawyer outside the firm who has impressed him.
